Atlus leaks: Devil Survivor, Knights in the Nightmare, more

Okay, so we already knew about Atlus's ridiculous surge of DS releases in the first quarter of this year, thanks to the ESRB and, later, Atlus. But what about Q2? In a discovery that will no doubt exasperate Atlus's PR staff, a Siliconera reader found five more unannounced Atlus games on Amazon.ca, all with projected release dates between April and June. The four new DS games are: Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier, Sting's Knights in the Nightmare and Dokapon Journey, and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, known as Megami Ibunroku Devil Survivor in Japan. The one PSP release in the store's database is Crimson Gem Saga, which is known as Garnet Chronicle in Japan and Astonishia Story 2 in Korea. The bad news is that all we have to go on is Siliconera's word and this image. The listings have all been pulled if they were there.

Rumor: Free Radical shut down

For those of us who desperately need a TimeSplitters 4 game, this rumor might be a bit hard to swallow. In fact, there's a very real chance you read the headline to this post and went into a murderous rage, destroying your computer monitor and turning your rage on the closest human being. It's okay, it made us feel the same way.The source of this rumor? Well, apparently the Nottingham, England-based Free Radical studio is in a bit of financial trouble, as GI.biz reports. They say that word has it the doors are locked, phones are shut off, and the team met at a nearby hotel for a "final company meeting." We're hoping this isn't the case, because we're pretty big fans of the studio's work, so we'll update when Free Radical makes a statement.[Via Joystiq]Joystiq [Nintendo]Rumor: Free Radical shut down originally appeared on Joystiq [Nintendo] on Thu, 18 Dec 2008 13:43:00 EST. .

Rumor: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days delayed

Flagging this as a rumor for now, though official confirmation will probably come very soon: according to sources reporting from Jump Festa on NeoGAF, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days has been pushed back from February to sometime in Spring of 2009. The delay isn't too surprising in and of itself, but the timing is, considering we only recently learned about the special edition DSi set to release with the title. More news as it develops!Joystiq [Nintendo]Rumor: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days delayed originally appeared on Joystiq [Nintendo] on Sat, 20 Dec 2008 12:00:00 EST. .

We hope this Wallace & Gromit preview becomes relevant

We're quite happy Eurogamer suggested that Telltale's latest episodic adventure game, Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures, could be headed to Wii, because we wouldn't have been able to post about it otherwise, and we're totally excited about it! They seem very confident, even putting a Wii icon in the image on the front page that links to the article.Eurogamer's logic is fairly sound: the game is to be released on PC and some console, so why not the one that Telltale put their last two games, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People and Sam & Max, on? Especially since Strong Bad has done so well as a WiiWare game. The new game sounds brilliant, combining Telltale's signature humorous puzzle-solving with elements of the classic Aardman series like Wallace's baroque inventions, and bringing more personality and interactivity to NPCs. We suggest you read Eurogamer's preview and set yourself up for potential future disappointment should this end up on N-Gage or something.Joystiq [Nintendo]We hope this Wallace & Gromit preview becomes relevant originally appeared on Joystiq [Nintendo] on Mon, 22 Dec 2008 19:15:00 EST. .

Rumor: Factor 5 shuts down

The last we heard of Factor 5, they were thinking about a Rogue Squadron compilation. Now, it would seem the company has fallen on hard times, much like other game developers. That is, if you go by this forum post, which was allegedly made by IGN's Matt Casamassina and claims "inside sources" tipped him off to the studio's closing. Our overlords at Joystiq have made the appropriate inquiries and we'll be sure to update you all as soon as we can.[Via Joystiq]Joystiq [Nintendo]Rumor: Factor 5 shuts down originally appeared on Joystiq [Nintendo] on Tue, 23 Dec 2008 13:45:00 EST. .
